We are seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join Pain Care Options located in Dallas, Texas. New graduates are welcome. Pain Care Options is a patient-focused interventional pain management practice in Dallas, Texas, providing advanced treatment for acute and chronic pain conditions. We specialize in minimally invasive procedures designed to relieve pain, restore function, and improve quality of life. Led by a board-certified Anesthesiologist specializing in multi-modal pain management, our experienced team of nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and support staff work together to deliver compassionate, individualized care. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- A Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program required
- Proficiency in MS Office
- EMR experience also required; E-Clinical Works preferred
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
Nice To Haves
- New graduates are welcome.
- Two years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred but not required
- NCT preferred but not required
- Reception experience is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Rooming patients, taking vitals and collecting patient histories
- Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of the providers
- Updating and filing patients’ medical records
- Relaying instructions to patients/families
- Administering injections and vaccinations
- Cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control
- Restocking exam/procedure rooms
- Prescription refills
- Reception; patient check-in/out; patient call back; answer incoming calls; scheduling; insurance verification; calculate and collect patient co-pay
