About The Position
The Medical Assistant supports providers and nursing leadership by performing administrative and clinical tasks that help deliver quality, compassionate care and a seamless, positive patient experience. The role is part of Henry Ford Medical Group, which provides coordinated care across primary and specialty practices and emphasizes collaborative teamwork, clinical resources, and relationships with patients and communities.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship of at least 160 hours, or equivalent experience as outlined in the job description.
- Current BLS-C certification upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.
Nice To Haves
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet and escort patients to the exam room.
- Obtain and record patient medical histories.
- Measure and record vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
