About The Position

Corewell Health is offering a $3,000 sign-on bonus for this opportunity! This role is within the HDVCH Congenital Heart Center, a large medical and surgical practice specializing in patients with congenital heart disease from unborn babies to end of life. Medical assistants work in pods with another MA or an ACT to facilitate a smooth workflow for providers' tight schedules. Each pod will have a daily rotation of 2-3 providers. The clinical team works closely with providers, performs chart prep, EKGs on most patients, and places cardiac monitors when ordered during clinic. Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, offering diverse care options and opportunities to learn and explore various interests or specialize in one area.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program that includes hands-on, in-person clinical skills training OR a minimum of one (1) year of experience working specifically in the role of a Medical Assistant, LPN, Paramedic or EMT performing direct patient care and clinical support functions consistent with MA scope of practice
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days: AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA), NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
