Were looking for a passionate, skilled Medical Assistant to support patients of all ages at our Primary Care office in Portland, IN. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality care and truly change lives. This is a Full-Time position working Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm. Travel, up to 30% may be necessary for training and coverage within the county.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • A valid driver's license with a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant preferred (CMA, NCMA, CCMA, or RMA)
  • 612 months of clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Guide patients through their visit and prepare them for provider assessments
  • Take vitals, prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain supplies
  • Support providers with exams, minor procedures, and patient documentation
  • Perform phone triage, manage labs and records, and follow infection-control protocols
  • Conduct screenings (PHQ-9, Edinburgh, GAD-7) and assist with telehealth
  • Prepare medications, maintain certifications, and protect patient confidentiality
  • Complete daily/weekly tasks, attend meetings, and uphold OSHA/CLIA standards
  • A valid driver's license with a driving record meeting Meridian's driving policy, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance
