About The Position

Tryfacta is seeking a Medical Assistant for a 13-week contract assignment with a client in Templeton, California. The position is scheduled for day shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch and 40 guaranteed hours per week. Pay is $30 per hour for local candidates and $35 per hour for travelers. Recent EPIC experience is required.

The Medical Assistant provides routine clinical and technical support under provider supervision in a busy primary-care setting. The role includes preparing exam rooms, checking in patients, collecting and documenting vital signs, performing ordered venipuncture and phlebotomy, and conducting audiometry and vision tests. The assistant also maintains patient recall systems, lab follow-ups, referrals, and continuity-of-care logs, reports significant findings and patient observations to the provider, and performs other assigned clinical duties.

Requirements

• Recent EPIC experience.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• BLS – Healthcare Provider certification.
• Understand the need for urgency, stay on task, and work efficiently in a busy primary-care setting.
• Meet Adventist Health vaccination requirements; applicable medical or religious exemptions may apply.

Nice To Haves

• CMA, RMA, or equivalent experience.
• Phlebotomy certification.
• Audiometry and vision testing training or certification.
