About The Position
Commack Pediatrics Associates is seeking a compassionate, organized, and energetic Medical Assistant to join their fast-paced practice. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on position and wants to make a real difference for children and families.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- At least one year of experience in a medical office
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Basic computer skills
- Confidence in measuring heart rate, blood pressure, respiration, and temperature across all ages.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Medical Assistant
- Pediatric experience
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), especially AthenaOne
- Bilingual (Spanish speakers are highly valued)
Responsibilities
- Help patients feel safe and supported while taking vitals, updating records, and assisting providers.
- Set up, sanitize, and restock exam rooms.
- Maintain accurate documentation, patient history, and electronic medical records.
- Greet families, schedule appointments, answer questions, and handle phone inquiries.
- Assist during procedures and contribute to a positive office environment.
