About The Position
Baptist Health is a leading healthcare provider in Northeast Florida, recognized as a top place to work. We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our Baptist Heart Specialists office in Jacksonville Beach, FL. This is a Full-Time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role involves performing back-office duties, including rooming patients and administering EKGs. The ideal candidate will be a team player.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
Nice To Haves
- Associate of Arts/Science Preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provides medical assistance to physician
- Obtains vital signs
- Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
- Maintains medical documentation
- Schedules care, treatment, diagnostic tests per physician
- Processes prescription requests and referrals
