About The Position

The MA II works under the delegation of a Practice Manager and/or Provider to perform duties as directed to assist in providing patient care to assigned patients. A MA II performs all aspects of the MA I role and is fully competent in the clinical needs/functions for assigned clinic/location of work. An MA II is expected to perform in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulations. This position may require floating to other clinics. HOME CLINIC: Open positions are located at various clinics across the Tri-Cities Area including Richland, Kennewick, Pasco, and West Richland. We will discuss current open positions and your preferences during the interview. The Job utilizes a combination of skills including: Taking patient vital signs Update patient medical records including medications, allergies, and other information Utilize a variety of clinical skills including injection administration, assisting in-office medical procedures, specimen collection, and point of care lab testing. This is a combination posting for an Associate Medical Assistant and Medical Assistant. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Requirements

  • Coursework/Training and Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants OR Coursework/Training and Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program OR Coursework/Training and Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces OR Coursework/Training and minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration
  • Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Certification
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0-6 months)
  • 6 months of Healthcare experience
  • 6 months of Medical Assistant experience

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months Prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast paced environment.
  • 6 months Previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health record (EHR).
  • Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification
