Organization: Med Peds Clinical Team Job Summary: Supports the licensed healthcare team in performing office examinations and procedures by organizing and managing clinic patient flow, gathering and documenting patient screening data, assist with patient and family education and communication with patient's health care team. Primary care is where good health begins. Your primary care provider is your first contact for general health issues, yearly screenings and questions about your health. As an overall category of healthcare, primary care includes the specialties of family and internal medicine, women’s health, geriatrics and pediatrics. Requirements

Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
Less than 1 year of relevant work experience
MA certification recognized by Vanderbilt Health (AMT, AAMA, NCCT, NHA, NAHP)
Ability to obtain certification within 120 days may be considered in accordance with state guidelines
12 months of patient care experience (if not yet certified)

Responsibilities

Directs and supports patient flow as well as unit operations by maintaining supplies, equipment and unit environmental standards.
Facilitates identification of resources to meet patient healthcare needs.
Performs/assists with procedures according to organizational/departmental standards.
Collects and documents patient screening data for the healthcare team.
Assists with patient and family education.
