About The Position

Under the direction and supervision of an MD, RN, or Sr. Office Manager, assumes responsibility and accountability for assignments for a designated time frame, assisting staff in providing patient care according to established methods/policies/standards of IJJR Clinic. In addition to performing the essential functions of the job, may also be assigned other duties as required.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent work experience, including ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology and English.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant Certification.
• Emotional stamina to work in a stressful environment and relate to patients, hospital staff, and visitors.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Typing speed 30wpm.
• Minimum 2-3 years experience with Windows operating system and Windows based programs required.
• Must include 2 year minimum on the job recent experience necessary, specifically, knowledge in Orthopedic Surgery office.
• Familiar with EMR (prefer EPIC and Centricity).

Nice To Haves

• Internet skills desired.
