About The Position

Neuhaus Foot and Ankle is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their team. This role involves working closely with a foot and ankle doctor, assisting with patient preparation for exams and minor procedures, and handling administrative tasks. This is a full-time position with set hours: 7:45 AM - 4:45 PM, Monday through Friday. The company is willing to train gap year or pre-med students and is looking for local Middle Tennessee applicants only.

Responsibilities

Greet and escort patients from waiting room to treatment room
Document physician dictated patient history, including history of present illness, review of systems, past medical and surgical history, family and social histories, medications and allergies.
Document physical examination findings and procedures as performed by the physician
Verify benefits for in office procedures, DME and custom orthotics
Prepare lab work to be sent
Help doctors and other team members as needed
Answer phones and follow up with patients during non-clinic time
Perform all other duties as assigned
Traveling to other clinics as needed
Giving high fives to colleagues
