About The Position

Sentara Primary Care Therapy Center is seeking a Medical Assistant – Front Desk in Staunton, VA. This role involves performing patient care and administrative and clerical tasks under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals. The position is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with shift times from 7am to 4pm. Floating may be required, and mileage reimbursement is offered.

Requirements

One year of clinical/administrative experience required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Certification must be received within (9) nine months of employment in one of the following certification programs: CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or CMA- Certified Medical Assistant or RMA- Registered Medical Assistant or EMT- Emergency Medical Technician
BLS is required within 90 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

Performs patient care and administrative and clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, and as delegated by and under the direction/supervision of the Physician, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
