About The Position

The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support to physicians and healthcare providers. The role requires flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments while delivering high-quality patient care. The position is located at cCARE Fresno, 7130 N Millbrook Ave, Fresno, CA 93720. The anticipated hourly pay range is $23.00 to $28.93; the role is not bonus eligible.

Requirements

Medical Assistant diploma or certification.
Knowledge of EMR systems and medical terminology.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing assignments.

Nice To Haves

Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification.
Two years of Medical Assistant experience.
Oncology knowledge.
Experience in a specialty clinic or outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during procedures.
Administer medications and injections as directed and within scope of practice.
Perform EKGs, specimen collection, wound care, and other clinical procedures as assigned.
Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Schedule appointments, coordinate referrals, and obtain insurance authorizations.
Educate patients on medications, treatments, and follow-up care.
Clean and stock exam rooms and maintain infection control standards.
Float between multiple specialty departments based on staffing needs.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
