MEDICAL ASSISTANT OUTLYING M-F 8AM-5PM
About The Position
Sun Life Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Outlying Sites to support providers and ensure smooth patient care. This role involves assisting with patient preparation, exams, immunizations, lab testing, and phlebotomy. The Medical Assistant will also educate patients on medications, preventative care, and self-management goals, while maintaining accurate documentation, clinic standards, and equipment/supply readiness. Additionally, the role includes front desk support such as check-in/out, payment processing, and scheduling, acting as a liaison between patients, providers, and other facilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- CPR certification required (can be obtained during orientation)
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred; eligible for certification pay differential
- 2–5 years’ Medical Assistant experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Support providers and ensure smooth patient care across multiple sites
- Assist with patient prep, exams, immunizations, lab testing, and phlebotomy
- Educate patients on medications, preventative care, and self-management goals

- Act as a professional liaison between patients, providers, and other facilities
