About The Position
Northside Hospital is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, continually growing healthcare organization. This Medical Assistant role provides nursing assistance and patient care to support patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs. The position assists physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting and performs patient care duties as part of a multidisciplinary patient care team. Specific duties and responsibilities are determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff, and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.
Requirements
- One year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing assistance and patient care to support patients’ comfort, safety, and personal needs.
- Assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting.
- Perform patient care duties within a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by a physician.
- Carry out duties and responsibilities assigned by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff, and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.
