This full-time, day shift position involves delivering patient care through preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation. The Medical Assistant will assist with various procedures, exams, and diagnostic equipment, maintaining aseptic techniques and administering medications, treatments, and immunizations under provider direction. Responsibilities include preparing patient charts, filing dictations, communicating test results, scheduling appointments and procedures, coordinating physician schedules, managing patient follow-ups, and educating patients and families. The role also involves patient outreach, ensuring insurance pre-certifications, maintaining patient confidentiality, promoting evidence-based practices, and acting as a patient advocate. Additional duties include assisting with training new colleagues, cross-coverage in other clinic areas, documenting patient plans of care, escalating issues to management, and completing safety checklists. The position requires maintaining knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies, ensuring ethical and professional conduct.
