Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• Computer skills a must
• Must be able to communicate and understand verbal and written English language.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification (CCMA) preferred

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient’s health status.
• Obtain and record full set of vital signs in EMR.
• Recognize changes in patient’s condition and inform RN, LPN, mid-level, or Physician.
• Identify patients' appointment needs and labs needed according to the labs ordered and treatments.
• Collect blood samples in correct tubes and adequate amount.
• Walk patients to correct exam rooms and/or other locations if necessary.
• Perform therapeutic phlebotomy procedure as requested by providers.
• Assist providers in bone marrow procedures and in collecting specimens.
