About The Position
University Physicians' Association is seeking qualified applicants for a Medical Assistant position for University Surgical Oncology located at the UT Medical Center. This is a full-time position with working hours from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines in a very fast-paced office. Applicants must be familiar with giving instructions, writing orders, and making the patients their top priority. This position will work closely with physicians to provide a seamless patient experience.
Requirements
- 6-months to 1-year previous medical experience
- MA Certification
- Strong communication skills

Responsibilities
- Assisting physicians with patient care
- Scheduling
- Communicating test results
- Phlebotomy
- Various other tasks
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with physicians, patients and their families
- Convey a positive image of the practice
