Medical Assistant - Woodinville Urgent Care (Part-Time)
About The Position
Responsible for assisting providers in delivering quality patient care and promoting a culture of safety. This part-time position is based at Woodinville Urgent Care and may occasionally require relocation to the Monroe location to support staffing needs. Wage ranges are $26.16–$41.82 per hour for state-certified medical assistants and $28.83–$46.14 per hour for nationally certified medical assistants. Eligible candidates may receive a bonus of up to $10,000 if new to EvergreenHealth and possessing at least one year of experience, or up to $7,500 for new medical assistant graduates. Actual offers depend on relevant experience, education, and internal equity; some positions may offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications, or degrees.
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent, or applicable coursework toward obtaining the required Washington State Medical Assistant Certification.
- Current Washington State Medical Assistant Certification.
- Current national certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or AMCA.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by the date of hire.
- Proficiency with medical terminology.
- Ability to use the EMR efficiently and follow appropriate processes for entering and retrieving data.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing.
Nice To Haves
- National certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is strongly preferred.
- One year of medical assistant experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients according to standard procedures.
- Take patients’ histories and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist providers with examinations, surgical procedures, and diagnostic testing.
- Maintain an appropriate sterile environment for clinical procedures or situations, following Washington State transmission precautions.
- Administer intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections according to provider orders.
