About The Position

At ENT Specialists of North Florida and Meier Plastic Surgery, the Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the medical office. This role supports doctors and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The responsibility is to promptly complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.

Requirements

Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills

Nice To Haves

Proven working experience as a medical assistant preferred
Experience in Plastics and Otolaryngology (ears, nose & throat) preferred
Experience with pediatrics, adolescents and adults preferred
Bilingual preferred

Responsibilities

Interview/room patients and document medical history in EMR
Prepare and clean/sanitize examination rooms and medical instruments
Assist during medical examinations/procedures
Restocking rooms
Respond to patient inquiries via telephone and the patient portal in a timely manner
Complete and follow up on provider-assigned tasks
Follow-up on prescription refill requests
Obtaining authorizations
Follow-up on other various tasks as assigned by supervisor/management
