About The Position

West Coast Wound and Skin Care is seeking a dedicated and reliable Medical Assistant to join its field-based wound care team. The role involves traveling to patient homes to provide hands-on clinical support under the direction of supervising providers. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, clinically competent, and passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in a mobile setting. The position is full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work takes place on the road at patient homes and care facilities within the Los Angeles area. Pay is $22 per hour.

Requirements

Valid Medical Assistant (MA) certification.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while following clinical protocols.
Basic computer proficiency for electronic documentation.
Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation.

Nice To Haves

1–2 years of clinical or medical experience preferred.
Experience in home health, mobile healthcare, or field-based roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform delegated clinical tasks and patient care duties in a field-based setting.
Prepare patients for procedures and assist providers during visits.
Scribe for physicians and accurately document clinical findings.
Perform chart checks to monitor and evaluate patient progress.
Coordinate and assist with patient scheduling and visits.
Conduct initial assessment calls with new patients.
Order and manage medical supplies and equipment inventory.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and patient privacy standards.
Communicate effectively with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care.
