About The Position

Position Purpose: Medical Assistants (MA) assist in providing excellent patient care by assisting physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office settings. Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by the physician.

Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • Has attended an accredited Medical Assistant training program by one of the following: The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools
  • Has a Medical Assistant Certification issued by one of the following: National Healthcareer Association: CCMA, American Medical Technologist: RMA, American Association of Medical Assistants: AAMA, National Center for Competency Testing: NCMA, American Medical Certification Association: CMAC
  • Has completed a medical services training program of the Armed Forces of the United States

  • If needed, we will assist you in obtaining a CCMA certification.
