About The Position

Kingman Pulmonary Associates is seeking a Medical Assistant to join their incredible team. This pulmonary program utilizes state-of-the-art technologies and facilities, operating with a collaborative team model where members work closely together to provide advanced patient care. The Medical Assistant will assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners in a medical office setting, performing various patient care duties within a multidisciplinary team as delegated by the physician.

Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification
  • Has attended an accredited Medical Assistant training program by The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools
  • Has a Medical Assistant Certification issued by National Healthcareer Association (CCMA), American Medical Technologist (RMA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA), or American Medical Certification Association (CMAC)
  • Has completed a medical services training program of the Armed Forces of the United States
  • Able to distinguish appropriate colors
  • Ability to work above or below shoulder level
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds
  • Ability to walk or be on feet 90% of the day
  • Expected duties have routine potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues, to chemicals, biological, and radioactive substances

  • If your Medical Assistant program was not accredited by one of the above agencies, we will assist you in obtaining a CCMA certification.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office settings.
  • Perform a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by the physician.
