PureView Health Center has a career opportunity for a Full-time Medical Assistant (MA). This opportunity, located in Helena, Montana, is within the Nursing department and reports to the Nurse Manager. Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year experience as a Medical Assistant or in a healthcare setting
- BLS certification
Nice To Haves
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Phlebotomy experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care and health care provider support as instructed by the Nurse Manager and Board of Nursing.
- Assists providers with diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures.
- Administers medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments per provider orders.
- Conducts patient health interviews including vitals, health history, and medications, and prepares patients for examination.
- Prepares and cleans equipment, exam rooms, and treatment rooms.
- Monitors clinic supplies and medications, reporting when low or needed.
- Maintains patient records within the PureView electronic health record system.
- Assists in other clinic programs as required or assigned by the Director of Nursing or designee.
