About The Position

SMG Cardiology Specialists are hiring a Medical Assistant! A sign-on bonus of up to 5K is offered to eligible candidates. This position is located in Norfolk, VA and is a full-time, day shift role. The Medical Assistant will perform patient care and administrative/clerical related tasks and procedures based on training, education, and competency evaluations, as delegated by and under the supervision of a Physician, Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (NP/PA), Registered Nurse (RN), or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Certified Medical Assistant
Registered Medical Assistant
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant
Certified EMT (EMT-B, AEMT)
BLS certification required within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

Clinical/Administrative experience 1 year preferred
Phlebotomy experience preferred
Experience with electronic medical records preferred

Responsibilities
