About The Position

All previous perm employees of ANY Providence affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a min of 3 months to qualify for a travel position. Must have MA-C (MA-R not accepted for this position). First time travelers accepted. Requires 2 years of experience and insurance knowledge. Must be open to floating to other campuses. Preferred experienced MA to help with rooming, Imaging scheduling and auths, MyChart, calls to patients/family members, and calls to pharmacies. Patient Age Group: Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics. Work Setting Experience: Pulmonary Function Test Lab (PREFERRED), Adult Critical Care, ED, PICU, Peds (REQUIRED).

Requirements

MA-C certification (MA-R not accepted)
2 years of experience
Insurance knowledge
Experience in Adult Critical Care, ED, PICU, Peds
Experience with Airway Management Devices/Suctioning (Extubation, Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, Oral airway placement, Oropharyngeal/suctioning, Sputum specimen collection, Tracheostomy/suctioning)
Experience with Medication Administration (Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled Flolan, Inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Mucomyst, Nitric Oxide (INo), Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline Sulfate, Theophylline, Tobramycin, Xopenex)
Experience with Medication Delivery Systems (Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Medihaler, Metered dose inhaler)
Experience with Nebulizers (Cold, Hand held, Heated, Ultrasonic, T-piece, Trach collar)
Experience with Ventilator Management (BiPAP, Flow-by, CPAP, High frequency oscillator, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Weaning from mechanical ventilation)
Experience with Ventilators - Draeger, Servo I
Knowledge of ABG interpretation
Knowledge of Basic EKG
ACLS certification
BLS certification
NRP certification
PALS certification
RRT certification
