About The Position

Canyon Vista Medical Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a Full-Time position. This role is crucial in supporting patient care by performing routine clinical and administrative duties. The Medical Assistant will assist with patient assessments and treatments under physician or nurse supervision, perform basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection, monitor patient conditions, document care, and maintain equipment and supplies. Administrative tasks such as filing, scheduling, and patient registration are also part of the role. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional customer service skills.

Requirements

• Medical Assistant License Required: CMA, RMA, or CCMA must be obtained within 60 days of hire
• BLS or CPR certification within 30 days of hire
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions

Responsibilities

• Performs routine clinical and administrative duties in support of assigned area or office.
• Under the supervision of a physician or nurse, assists with performing patient assessments and treatments.
• Performs basic diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Monitors and communicates changes in patient condition.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains equipment and medical supplies, including stocking, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain examination areas.
• Performs administrative or clerical duties as assigned, including filing, reception, scheduling, data entry, and patient registration.
• Exhibits exceptional customer service with patients and teammates.
