About The Position
Ascension Sacred Heart is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Cardiology department in Miramar Beach, FL. This is a full-time, day shift position. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in patient care by assisting with examinations and treatments under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse. Responsibilities include interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, recording patient information, and performing basic clerical duties such as answering phones, maintaining records, and filing.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Medical Assistant credentialed from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) preferred.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Assist with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
- Assist with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse.
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
- Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
