About The Position
High volume medical group seeking Medical Assistant for our Glastonbury and West Hartford locations. We are a primary care group consisting of 8 providers across both locations seeking a team player who is dependable and reliable. This position is full-time, hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm depending on which office location you are working that day. This candidate will also be cross-trained for front-desk as well as for our call center.
Requirements
- Demonstrated written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Athena experience a plus
- Medical Assistant Certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Answering phones
- Making appointments
- Triaging calls
- Patient screening and brief assessment of problems
- Medication review
- Obtaining full vital signs
- Urinalysis
- EKG
- A1C
- Scanning
- Obtaining prior authorizations and precertifications for radiology exams
- Schedule various tests and appointments
- Document patient phone calls
- Take messages and route to proper providers/staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
