About The Position

QualDerm Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to join its team in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The role supports patient care in dermatology, skin cancer treatment, cosmetics, and plastic surgery, helping deliver a high-quality patient experience in a collaborative clinical environment. The Medical Assistant prepares patients for examinations, assists physicians with procedures, performs basic laboratory tasks, maintains records, coordinates appointments, and educates patients about their care. The role may also support the clinic’s social media and community engagement efforts as directed.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical role.
Knowledge of medical terminology and practices relevant to dermatology.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain patient confidentiality.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and general office software.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring necessary instruments are available.
Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications.
Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices.
Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and stocked with supplies.
May assist with the clinic’s social media presence by gathering content, sharing clinic-approved updates, and supporting community engagement as directed.
