About The Position

Provides basic clinical and clerical support in the delivery of patient care within the Medical Assistant scope of education. The Medical Assistant experiences continued training of all aspects of the Medical Assistant role.

Requirements

Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT or Paramedic Certification.
In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space) may be considered.
Customer service skills
HIPAA compliance
Ability to adhere to quality and safety standards
Ability to read and understand medical terminology
Basic computer skills
Organizational skills
Demonstrated attention to detail in all aspects of work
Ability to manage time and productivity without immediate supervision
Ability to work as part of a dynamic team
Flexibility to respond to changes in work schedules as necessary or as requested
Certified BLS to be obtained through employment provided RQI training. To be completed 3 months (90) days of hire or job transfer.

Nice To Haves

Relevant experience or MA externship in a busy medical office preferred
EPIC EMR experience preferred
