About The Position

Become a part of our caring community. Join our dedicated outpatient team at the Midlothian clinic, where patient-centered care is our top priority. In this role, you will directly report to the Center Administrator and play an important part in delivering high-quality clinical support to our Patients. CenterWell Midlothian clinic address: 6900 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, VA 23225. Main Responsibilities: As a Medical Assistant, you will perform a variety of clinical responsibilities, including: Obtain patient histories, discuss symptoms, and record vital signs. Administer medications and vaccines following protocols. Perform phlebotomy and collect laboratory specimens. Prepare and maintain clean, sterile examination and equipment. Document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Use your skills to make an impact.

Requirements

• Successful completion of MA school/training program and a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant with 3+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current CPR Certified
• Meet patient-facing role requirements, including participation in our Tuberculosis (TB) screening program

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• At least 1 year of MA experience
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication
