About The Position

The IVIRMA North America network of state-of-the-art fertility practices in the United States is currently seeking a Temporary Medical Assistant to join their growing Lafayette practice. This is a full-time temporary position, Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm. IVI-RMA offers a comprehensive benefits package to all employees who work a minimum of 30 hours per week. Requirements

6+ months experience as a Medical Assistant in physician practice
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel

Nice To Haves

Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program
Phlebotomy Program
1+ year Phlebotomy experience or willingness to learn
Prior experience in Fertility, OBGYN, or Women’s healthcare
Experience supporting clinical procedures is a plus
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience

Responsibilities

Prepare exam and procedure rooms
Support patients during clinical visits and procedures
Perform specimen collection and processing
Assist Physicians with patient care and clinical procedures
Maintain supplies and ensure rooms and equipment are clean and fully stocked
Practice phlebotomy
Maintain clinical supplies inventory
Specimen collection, processing for in-house and outside laboratories
Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance/comfort before, during and after procedures
