About The Position
IVIRMA North America, a network of state-of-the-art fertility practices in the United States, is seeking a Temporary Medical Assistant to join their growing Lafayette practice. This is a full-time temporary position with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm.
Requirements
- 6+ months experience as a Medical Assistant in physician practice
- Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
Nice To Haves
- Completion of Certified Medical Assistant Program
- Phlebotomy Program
- 1+ year Phlebotomy experience or willingness to learn
- Prior experience in Fertility, OBGYN, or Women’s healthcare
- Experience supporting clinical procedures
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience
Responsibilities
- Prepare exam and procedure rooms
- Support patients during clinical visits and procedures
- Perform specimen collection and processing
- Assist Physicians with patient care and clinical procedures
- Maintain supplies and ensure rooms and equipment are clean and fully stocked
- Practice phlebotomy
- Maintain clinical supplies inventory
- Specimen collection, processing for in-house and outside laboratories
- Provide patients with information regarding upcoming procedures and reassurance/comfort before, during and after procedures
