About The Position

Pacific Fertility Center (PFC) is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join their team in San Francisco. PFC, established in 1999, is a leading fertility center with board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialists (REIs). They offer a range of treatments including In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and Egg Freezing. The center's mission is to provide high-quality, individualized, and compassionate fertility care as a unified team, guided by ethical standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for educating, treating, and informing patients, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong patient relationships.

Requirements

Completion of Medical Assisting program and Medical Assistant Certification is required
High school diploma or GED, required
Proficiency in keyboarding skills and experience with electronic medical records
Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA requirements

Nice To Haves

Phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

Assist physicians with patient care, treatments and procedures
Prepare patients for exams and procedures
Help to safely position and transfer patients undergoing procedures requiring anesthesia
Provide ultrasound guidance during procedures
Set-up instruments, equipment and sterile trays for exams and procedures
Clean, wrap and sterilize instruments
Accurately label and prepare specimens for sending to outside laboratories
Organize, stock and clean exam rooms
Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in electronic medical records
