About The Position

Avance Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to work closely with providers and help deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy clinical environment. The role primarily supports one provider and calls for a flexible, adaptable team player who can thrive under pressure while maintaining a patient-centered focus.

This is a full-time position with 12-hour weekday shifts and a rotating weekend schedule. Avance Care offers a comprehensive benefits package available on the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screen. Avance Care is an equal opportunity employer.

Requirements

• At least one year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
• Growth mindset.
• Flexibility and resilience.

Nice To Haves

• Preferably hold one of the following certifications: CMA, CCMA, RMA, or EMT.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to and from exam and treatment rooms.
• Triage patients as necessary.
• Administer vaccines and injections.
• Record patient data before the physician’s visit.
• Assist physicians with examinations and a wide variety of procedures.
• Administer medications.
• Prepare and stock exam and treatment rooms, and order supplies as needed.
• Maintain proper disinfection protocols.
• Complete prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging.
• Phone in prescriptions and distribute medications as ordered by the provider.
