About The Position

Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside DePaul Building in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for their Cardiology specialty. In this role, you will prepare patients for examinations, assist physicians with procedures and treatments, and accurately record patient vital signs and medical histories. You will also manage clinical logistics, including preparing treatment rooms and maintaining supplies and equipment, and perform clerical duties such as answering phones, filing, and maintaining patient records.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Previous Medical Assistant experience or Medical Assistant certification.

Nice To Haves

Medical Assistant preferred.
Nat'l Medical Assistant (MA) Certification preferred - CMA (Cert. Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant)/AAMA Cert. (American Association of Medical Assistants). NCCT, AAMA, or AMT are acceptable certification sites.
Completion of Basic Machine Operators (BMO) cert. preferred.
Current registration with State of FL as a BMO Operator preferred.
