About The Position
Jefferson Radiology, a Radiology Partners practice, is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide support to patients preparing for radiology examinations, including Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures. The role includes meeting with patients to verify their histories and discuss examination and procedure protocols, assisting with IR procedures, and assisting with MRI and CT examinations. The position is on-site in Avon, Connecticut, and is full-time (30+ hours per week).
Requirements
- Current CPR (BLS) certification is required.
- At least 2 years of prior medical office experience.
- For MRI and CT examinations, demonstrate an understanding of MRI and CT procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Medical Assistant, LPN, or EMT qualification preferred.
- Surgical office or hospital setting experience highly preferred for Interventional Radiology procedures.
Responsibilities
- Support and assist patients as they prepare for radiology examinations, including Interventional Radiology procedures.
- Meet with patients to verify their medical histories and discuss examination and procedure protocols.
- Assist with Interventional Radiology procedures.
- Assist with MRI and CT examinations.
