About The Position

This role is for a PRN Medical Assistant in a Primary Care setting. PRN employees are paid strictly for hours worked, and clinic closures are unpaid. To maintain active status, PRN employees must fulfill a minimum requirement of three (3) shifts per calendar month and meet seasonal holiday availability rules. Holiday closures do not lower the monthly requirement; PRN staff must proactively schedule their three (3) required shifts on the remaining open weekdays of that month. To ensure fair scheduling distribution during peak vacation seasons, all PRN employees must work at least one shift immediately preceding or following a recognized clinic closure in both the summer and winter seasons.

Requirements

• Must fulfill a minimum requirement of three (3) shifts per calendar month.
• Must meet seasonal holiday availability rules.
• Must work at least one shift immediately preceding or following a recognized clinic closure in both the summer and winter seasons.
• Must work the business day immediately before or immediately after one of the following: Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day (July 4th), Labor Day.
• Must work the business day immediately before or immediately after one of the following: Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday (if the clinic closes), Christmas Eve / Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve / New Year’s Day.
• For weekend holidays, the rule applies to the business days directly touching the Friday or Monday observed clinic closure.

Responsibilities
