About The Position

BHG is seeking a compassionate, driven Medical Assistant dedicated to patient-centered care and recovery. The role supports continuity of treatment services by performing laboratory procedures and following medical standards and best practices. The Medical Assistant works in a clinical environment serving patients receiving addiction treatment and helps support their care and recovery. The schedule is 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Pay is $20.00–$22.00 per hour plus a bonus structure.

Requirements

• Active Medical Assistant certification.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of OSHA requirements and medical assistant/phlebotomist procedures.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and conduct health assessments.
• Perform TB testing and collect blood specimens.
• Collect, process, and ship laboratory specimens accurately and safely for timely diagnostic testing.
• Coordinate exam scheduling and annual physicals, and prepare monthly testing lists to promote continuity of care.
• Maintain laboratory supplies, equipment, and inventory so clinicians have necessary resources.
• Manage laboratory results and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation while protecting patient confidentiality and protected health information.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment to support patient safety and quality care.
• Collaborate with clinical team members and provide support and guidance on laboratory testing and patient care.
