About The Position
The Medical Assistant (MA) supports the medical practice providers and nurses at Community Perioperative Assessment Clinic (C-PAC) in providing medical or technical procedures and assists with patient flow and care. Specific duties include taking vital signs, giving handouts, graphing height, weight, blood-pressure, giving injections and ensuring that appropriate tests are completed prior to doctor's examination.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
- Completion of a course of study consistent with the requirements for Medical Assistants as specified by the Medical Board of California required
- 3 months of experience in the medical field required
- BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
