About The Position

The Medical Assistant works under the direction of the physician and in cooperation with other office staff to assist with safe and effective patient care. The role follows established standards and protocols of the practice and supports UF Health Central Florida goals and objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Post-high-school special training.
• Basic Life Support (CPR); certification must be obtained within the first month of employment if not already held and maintained throughout employment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• At least one year of experience working in a physician's office.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree.
• Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant.
• Experience with practice management systems.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities
