About The Position

QualDerm Partners is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient care and support the practice’s dermatology, skin cancer treatment, cosmetics, and plastic surgery services. The role contributes to a positive patient experience in a supportive, collaborative clinical environment.

The Medical Assistant prepares patients for examinations, assists physicians with examinations and procedures, performs basic laboratory tasks, maintains accurate and confidential patient records, schedules appointments, and communicates with patients. The role also includes educating patients about treatment plans, medications, and skincare, and keeping examination rooms clean, organized, and stocked.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role in a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and practices relevant to dermatology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems and general office software.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
• Assist the physician during examinations and procedures, ensuring necessary instruments are available.
• Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage office communications.
• Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and proper skincare practices.
• Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked with supplies.
