Medical Assistant - Woodinville Primary Care
About The Position
The Medical Assistant assists providers in delivering quality patient care and promoting a culture of safety. The position is based in Woodinville Primary Care. Compensation is $26.16–$41.82 per hour for a state-certified MA and $28.83–$46.14 per hour for a nationally certified MA. Eligible new EvergreenHealth employees with at least one year of experience may receive a bonus of up to $10,000; new MA graduates may receive a bonus of up to $7,500. Pay offers are determined by relevant experience, education, and internal equity. Some positions may offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications, or degrees.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent, or applicable coursework toward obtaining required Washington State Medical Assistant Certification.
- Current Washington State Medical Assistant Certification.
- Current national certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT, or AMCA.
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.
- Proficiency with medical terminology.
- Ability to use an EMR efficiently and follow processes for entering and retrieving data.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing.
Nice To Haves
- National certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is strongly preferred.
- One year of MA experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients according to standards.
- Take patient histories and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for examinations.
- Assist providers with examinations, surgical procedures, and diagnostic testing.
- Maintain an appropriate sterile environment for clinical procedures or situations, following Washington State transmission-precaution standards.
- Administer intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injections according to provider orders.
- Use the EMR efficiently and follow appropriate processes for entering and retrieving data.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, orally and in writing.
