About The Position
The Medical Assistant Program at Saint Luke’s Physician Group clinics offers participants a 10-week paid program to learn about various clinics. The program includes a comprehensive review of body systems, pharmacology, medical terminology, lab values, and BLS certification. Medical Assistants in training will also be introduced to Saint Luke’s culture, with an emphasis on customer service and patient safety. The schedule includes 5 weeks of in-class didactic content, followed by 4 weeks of clinicals with an instructor, and concludes with 2 weeks of home clinic orientation with a Success Coach. The class starts on 8/10/2026.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross certification.
Responsibilities
- Learn about a variety of Saint Luke’s Physician Group clinics.
- Participate in a comprehensive review of body systems including pharmacology, medical terminology, and lab values.
- Obtain BLS certification.
- Be introduced to Saint Luke’s culture with an emphasis on customer service and patient safety.
- Complete in-class didactic content.
- Complete clinicals with an instructor.
