About The Position

Our Orthopedics and Sports Medicine practice is located at 7 Marsh Brook Drive in Somersworth, NH. We are one of the largest and most trusted providers of orthopedic care in New Hampshire, with practices in Somersworth, Lee and Portsmouth. We have been a leader in sports medicine for more than 40 years and are the official orthopedists and team physician group for the University of New Hampshire. The location for this role will primarily be in Somersworth; however, we may request cross coverage in Lee and Portsmouth when appropriate and as needed during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances. This role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment and prior patient care experience. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, motivated, and enjoys working as part of a large, dynamic team. There is an opportunity to work across multiple locations, with onboarding taking place mainly in the Somersworth location. The role supports healthcare teams by assisting with both clinical and non-clinical patient services under the direction of healthcare providers. Key responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient information, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow. This role involves direct interaction with patients to ensure their comfort and address concerns, as well as collaboration with physicians, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff to facilitate efficient care.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Direct MA experience or medical field work 0-1 year preferred
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] preferred
  • Certified Medical Assistant - preferred
  • National MA certification (AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NCCT) is strongly preferred.
