About The Position

Ascension is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Seton Medical Group in Baltimore, MD. This full-time, day shift position will be part of the Primary Care department. The role involves providing clinical support to physicians and nurses, including assisting with patient examinations and treatments. Key responsibilities include interviewing patients to record medical history and vital signs, preparing and sanitizing treatment rooms, ensuring medical supplies are stocked, and managing administrative tasks such as phone correspondence and record maintenance.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Must be able to work Monday through Friday; 6:45 am to 6 pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
• Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
• Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.
