About The Position

Ascension Richmond Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant for their Family Practice department. This full-time position involves supporting patient healing by executing physician-ordered treatments and clinical duties under supervision. The role includes conducting patient intake interviews, accurately measuring vital signs, and meticulously recording information. Additionally, the Medical Assistant will ensure operational readiness by preparing treatment and examination rooms, maintaining a sterile and organized environment, and managing administrative functions such as ordering supplies and handling clerical tasks. This role is crucial for efficient clinic workflow and seamless patient experience.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Support patient healing by accurately executing physician-ordered treatments and essential clinical duties under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.
• Document patient care journeys by conducting thorough intake interviews, accurately measuring vital signs, and meticulously recording information.
• Ensure operational readiness by proactively preparing treatment and examination rooms, maintaining a sterile, organized, and clean environment.
• Lead efficient clinic workflow by managing administrative functions, including ordering and stocking vital supplies, and handling essential clerical tasks such as responding to patient inquiries.
