•$43,000 - $56,200•Onsite

About The Position

The Medical Assistant supports patient flow between check-in and the physician visit in an onsite clinical setting. The role prepares patients for care by bringing them to exam rooms, completing basic health checks, and communicating information clearly and compassionately. In a specialized Patient Specialist capacity, the Medical Assistant ensures patients are fully prepared before the physician sees them so physicians can focus on medical decisions. The position includes expanded intake, clinical rooming, EMR inbox and worklist management, and patient education. The Medical Assistant verifies medications and allergies, documents patient history, and conducts validated screenings as needed. The role follows specified routing rules for patient messages, lab results, and medication-adherence follow-ups with pharmacies, aiming to provide a same-day touch on all tasks. The Medical Assistant also confirms patient understanding of next steps using the loop-back method. This is an onsite, 40-hour-per-week position reporting to the Center Administrator. The stated annual base pay range is $43,000–$56,200, and the position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. Humana offers medical, dental, and vision benefits; a 401(k) retirement savings plan; paid time off and company and personal holidays; paid parental and caregiver leave; short- and long-term disability; life insurance; and other opportunities.
