About The Position

Sun Life Health is seeking a passionate Medical Assistant to join their team and make a meaningful impact in patients' lives. The role involves supporting providers, ensuring smooth patient care, and interacting respectfully with patients, families, and team members. Responsibilities include assisting with patient education, preventative care, follow-ups, administering immunizations, medications, and lab testing, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring patient rooms, supplies, and equipment are ready and safe. The Medical Assistant will also act as a liaison with providers, specialists, and other offices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• CPR certification required (can be obtained during orientation)

Nice To Haves

• Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA) preferred; eligible for pay differential once certified
• 2–5 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Support providers and ensure smooth patient care
• Interact respectfully with patients, families, and team members
• Assist with patient education, preventative care, and follow-ups
• Administer immunizations, medications, and lab testing
• Maintain accurate documentation and clinic standards
• Keep patient rooms, supplies, and equipment ready and safe
• Act as a liaison with providers, specialists, and other offices
